Gardant Management Solutions builds efficiency for affordable care

Gardant Management Solutions client success video

Gardant Management Solutions specializes in affordable assisted living across more than 60 communities. Keeping care accessible for low-income residents means navigating a highly labor-intensive Medicaid billing model.

With the Yardi Senior Living Suite, Gardant can lower overhead costs, grow sustainably and support the mission of providing affordable assisted living to the people who need it.

In this video interview, part of “The heart of innovation” series, Greg Echols, co-CEO, explains how Gardant scales with purpose. Watch the full video or read the highlights from the interview.

How Gardant Management Solutions focuses on 20% growth per year

To be successful, especially with labor-intensive Medicare billing as part of their business, Gardant builds efficiency into their culture with individual and department goals to increase efficiency. Gardant’s business model focuses on 20% growth per year.

Moving from manual processes has helped them achieve that. “Prior to Yardi, our system of revenue management was all manual,” Echols said. “Payroll integration for accounting, for instance — we did that manually before we had a platform that could integrate that type of data electronically.

Since adopting the Yardi Senior Living Suite, Gardant:

  • Replaced manual revenue management processes with integrated software
  • Improved payroll & accounting integration
  • Built a system to scale operations while managing overhead expenses
  • Empowered teams with systems that grow with the organization

With a single connected solution, Gardant’s team can see clear ways to reduce costs. “As we build efficiencies using software, we can diminish our overhead cost,” Echols said.

Efficiencies of scale in our business model

For a mission-driven organization focused on Medicaid-funded care, efficiency isn’t just about cost. It’s about protecting access and serving residents well. Increasing efficiency helps Gardant grow — adding new communities while keeping overhead costs down.

“We have found that there can be efficiencies of scale in our business model with an efficient software platform,” Echols said.
