Guided by care & continuity

The session opened with a reflection from Arjun Rao, vice president of product. He emphasized that Yardi’s success has always stemmed from a genuine care for clients and employees. He noted that new Yardi CEO Rob Teel embodies that same spirit, combining accessibility and product focus with a commitment to client success.

Four themes defining multifamily innovation

Rao introduced four guiding priorities shaping this year’s development roadmap:

  1. Customer experience: Reimagining the renter journey from discovery to renewal
  2. Centralization: Supporting operational models that streamline leasing, renewals and collections
  3. Ease of use: Simplifying training, navigation and workflows across platforms
  4. AI everywhere: Embedding intelligence across products to improve productivity and service

Each theme came to life through product demos and announcements that showed how Yardi continues to blend human connection with cutting-edge technology.

Reinventing the renter journey

Esther Bonardi, vice president of RentCafe Marketing, showed how the apartment search experience is evolving as renters increasingly turn to AI engines ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. With these systems deciding what prospects see, rich media and local relevance are more important than ever.

Through Yardi’s integration with LCP Media, clients will soon be able to capture and distribute immersive virtual tours from Google Maps to ILSs. This ensures their listings appear across every channel and AI search platform.

Esther also introduced neighborhood marketing pages designed to spotlight a group of properties and the surrounding neighborhood. These pages attract generative search engines and optimize ad spend, while making it easier for renters to learn more about the area.

Secure processes, smarter leasing

Eric Zellhart and Patrick Hennessey highlighted Yardi’s next-generation applicant and resident portal, designed to balance frictionless renter experiences with robust fraud prevention.

  • Passwordless login and autofill from IDs to simplify applications
  • AI-powered ID Verify confirms identity and continuity from tour to move-in
  • Fraud prevention tools now run silently in the background, ensuring safety without slowing the process

Hennessey also shared that multifamily fraud appears to have peaked and plateaued, thanks to advanced verification and AI-driven income validation tools.

Enhancing move-in & retention with RentCafe Living

Madeleine Zapreyev, associate director, showcased RentCafe Living. This unified move-in and resident engagement platform turns one of life’s most stressful experiences into a connected, rewarding one.

  • RentCafe portals simplify move-ins with embedded services for utilities, insurance and internet
  • Rewards by RentCafe introduces a fully funded loyalty program, allowing residents to earn and redeem points for products and experiences — all while providing operators with new marketing revenue opportunities

AI that works for you: Chat IQ & CRM IQ

Paul Yount, industry principal, brought the energy with live examples of Yardi’s Native AI tools in action. Chat IQ and CRM IQ now supports over 1.5 million units, driving faster leasing and renewals.

A standout demo featured Chat IQ’s new voice bot capable of processing rent payments and responding naturally in multiple languages, even mirroring tone. Integrated dashboards for collections and renewals further empower centralized teams to manage operations at scale.

Paul also introduced AI-powered writing assistance and call scoring built into CRM IQ, helping leasing agents communicate professionally.

Voyager 8: Designed for simplicity & scale

Dwayne Jordan and Daniel Davis took the stage to spotlight Voyager 8, which now serves over 1,000 clients and 15,000 users. Built on a design-first approach, Voyager 8 boasts new features like:

  • Report builder: Create, customize and save reports in-platform
  • Expanded admin tools: Manage users, settings and fee transparency all within Voyager 8
  • User onboarding wizard: Streamline setup and training for new staff
  • Agent-based scheduling: Sync agent availability for smarter, automated tour booking and Outlook integration
  • Virtuoso AI support: An on-demand product expert providing 24/7 in-app guidance and seamless human escalation

Finally, the new Voyager 8 Settings Configuration unifies all settings across Voyager, CRM IQ and Site Manager into one auditable dashboard.

The takeaway

Yardi’s innovation is driven by empathy for clients, teams and residents alike. Every product showcased shares the same goal: to simplify work, empower teams and elevate the living experience.

As Rao concluded, the next era of Yardi is defined not just by technology, but by a continued commitment to care, collaboration and client success.
