Mobile access, reduced IT costs, and increased staff efficiency among several benefits of upgrading to Yardi Voyager 7S.

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., June 15, 2015 – Grand Forks Housing Authority (GFHA) will reduce its information technology workload and embrace mobility as it upgrades to the latest version of Yardi Voyager® PHA. The North Dakota-based public housing agency has been a Yardi client since 2007, and is among more than 1,800 organizations who are taking advantage of the features and benefits available with Voyager 7S.

“Becoming hosted by Yardi as we upgrade to 7S will enable us to focus on activities central to our mission as a public housing agency,” said Tina Hoffart, finance director of GFHA. “We see significant time and cost savings coming with 7S as we will no longer have to purchase and maintain hardware, nor will we be responsible for the associated operating systems, security measures, and backup tasks. We can now trust all of that work to Yardi.”

Beyond SaaS hosting, Voyager 7S comes with many features and capabilities not available with prior versions of Voyager. “Voyager 7S is a cutting edge solution,” said Boone Atkins, vice president of affordable housing and PHA sales for Yardi. “GFHA will have mobile access to its Voyager database through any Web browser, from any smartphone and tablet device. Active lookup functions will make their staff much more efficient as they navigate through the system in ways not possible before. And, clients who upgrade to 7S have a much easier time training new users, so onboarding new staff will be simple for GFHA.”

“There is so much to look forward to with 7S. I am very pleased we have made this move,” said Hoffart.
