Mark Livanec honored with 2025 NAHMA Inspiration Award

Mark Livanec receiving the 2025 NAHMA Inspiration Award

Yardi Industry Principal Mark Livanec was presented with the 2025 Inspiration Award last evening at the NAHMA Educational Foundation’s Inspire Gala in Washington, D.C. The honor recognizes individuals whose leadership and dedication expand educational opportunities within the affordable housing industry.

Mark’s career in affordable housing with Yardi began more than two decades ago somewhat by chance. What started as a two-week temp assignment as a receptionist grew into leadership roles in affordable housing sales and marketing.

Over the years, Mark has led our expansion of affordable housing and PHA solutions, worked with providers across the country and helped bring technological innovations to the forefront of affordable housing operations.

Beyond his work at Yardi, Mark has been deeply connected to NAHMA. He served on the foundation board from 2008 to 2015, helped plan its early fundraising galas and was instrumental in creating the Inspiration Award in 2014. Receiving the award in 2025 brings his story full circle.

Mark’s drive extends beyond his career. An accomplished endurance athlete, he has completed triathlons, long-distance swims — including a seven-day 25K swim around the Greek islands — and countless hikes. This adventurous outlook mirrors his professional journey. He continues to push further, try new things and embrace challenges.

A well-deserved recognition

“Mark’s leadership has shaped the affordable housing industry in profound ways,” said Chris Voss, vice president of affordable housing at Yardi. “We are proud to see his long-standing commitment recognized by NAHMA with this honor.”

Today, Mark continues to support Yardi’s affordable housing team with passion, experience and vision. His recognition with the NAHMA Inspiration Award not only celebrates his past contributions but also reflects his ongoing impact on affordable housing communities nationwide.
