- Yardi's been a big step up. They work with us constantly to help, whether it's to fix issues or brainstorm solutions to problems. Like that's been really the key is that sort of flexibility. (bright upbeat music) (air whooshing) My name is Taylor Upchurch. I am the director of Information Systems for The John Stewart Company. We have somewhere between 375 to 400 different properties, a little under 30,000 units at this time. In terms of programs, we have lots of HUD 5059. We have lots of tax credit. We have lots of project based section eight vouchers. There's always gonna be bumps in the road when you're managing that many different programs, this many units. With our old provider, we had been on it for a long time and it is pretty old. We knew that at some point it would be sunset. So that was a big factor that led us to start looking around at other opportunities. And Yardi was just naturally one of the leading contenders from the start. In terms of dollar savings, I think the custom reporting has been a big one because we had lots of clients who had lots of very specific report needs, and it was really painful to work with that other provider to kind of get to that point. And working with Yardi has been good in that way. Having a good policy is sort of the backbone. You have to start there and then you kind of build off of that to see what the applications are. For us, we have our compliance teams, our accounting teams, our AP teams, they all use Yardi to do basic daily operations as well. So I mean, it's really across the company. Yardi team supported us really every step of the way. I mean, they've been great partners for us, really invested in helping make this implementation a successful one. And they work closely with us and with our Yardi team all week, every week. It's incredibly important, like, technology, you know, it's moving in one direction. If you're not putting forth that effort to try to stay current and take advantage of what's out there, then you can get left behind. And it is a marathon, not a sprint. I have to say that as well. (chuckles) (bright upbeat music)
