- Yardi has demonstrated over time that they are also looking to either determine, do they buy a company that fits a use case to help their clients, or do they go and build it themselves? So typically, if we're encountering it as a customer, Yardi's actually already thinking about it. (gentle music) I'm Jeremy Poteet, I'm the CTO and CIO for JBG Smith Properties. Our internal customers, because we grew through a merger acquisition, they came from a very custom development environment where almost anything could be built. So them kind of coming onto Yardi was a little bit of a learning process, but I think over time, what they've learned is there are certain things that Yardi can do just as effective, if not better, than us going and creating our own products and our own systems. (gentle music continues) A lot of the feedback we get is just how responsive, and we've worked with Yardi on this aspect of creating a clear mechanism for communication between us. They're very open to discussing what we're currently working on, and they're very open to helping us with those challenges, and I think our operational group, they all understand the importance of that relationship that we've been working on. They are also industry experts in what we do in real estate, and so they understand our day-to-day challenges. Now, what I've come to find is the beauty of the single stack, single partnership, a strong partnership that we've developed with Yardi over those years, and how it actually makes my day-to-day easier, not having to find the best application out of 15, 20 different categories. I have an immediate person to call to help me get to a place where I can provide the best application, the best experience to our internal customers, as well as to our external customers.
