Associate degree and technical program institution in Texas anticipates initial savings of $2.3 million from improved budget forecasting

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Dec. 27, 2012 – Yardi announced today that the Tarrant County College District (TCCD) in Texas will adopt Yardi Voyager™ as its property management and accounting system.

TCCD’s selection of Yardi Voyager stems from an efficiency initiative the district launched in March 2011. The district sought to improve budget forecasting accuracy by tracking more closely spending in its operations and maintenance department. After evaluating several options, the district concluded that consolidating and leveraging real-time information in Yardi Voyager would enhance budgetary control by enabling accurate, efficient projections of revenue and expenses.

TCCD will use Yardi Voyager to manage funds, evaluate spending and calculate facility costs per student in 110 buildings on its five campuses. Equipped with comprehensive, real-time financial data, TCCD will be able to compare operating costs at each facility against its counterparts. Along with providing total costs, Yardi Voyager will help the district calculate per-square-foot costs for each budget category.

“We believe that the accurate forecasting enabled by Voyager could help the district save up to $2.3 million in our 2013 budget,” said Cacy Curtis, director of strategic initiatives for TCCD.

“Yardi is delighted to welcome TCCD as a new Yardi Voyager client. We look forward to helping the district gain a significant return on its investment by providing a platform that delivers new dimensions of budgeting insight,” said Terri Dowen, senior vice president of sales for Yardi.
