SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Sept. 17, 2009 – Yardi Systems, a leading developer of real estate investment and property management software, announced today that MERIT Rental Property Management has selected Yardi Voyager™ and Yardi Portal™ as a business-wide solution that will produce new efficiencies in its rental property management services, provide Internet-based resident services across its rental portfolio, and market the company’s properties at half the current cost.
Centralizing all rental property management information and accounting into Yardi Voyager allows MERIT Rental Property Management to receive reports on the properties it manages from one system rather than three. “Voyager gives asset managers instant access to all the information they need, from a ledger of expenses to photographs of properties,” said Stephen Brahs, MERIT Rental Property Management vice president.

And, since the websites for our rental properties are designed and maintained in Portal by Yardi, we expect to cut website-related expenses by half.” Portal also lets residents use the speed and convenience of the Internet to pay rent and submit service requests.
MERIT Rental Property Management also elected to take advantage of Yardi’s Application Service Provider hosting. Yardi hosts the application and database, provides technical support and networking resources and assumes responsibility for system security, allowing MERIT Rental Property Management to focus on its principal business.
