I'm Heidi Leavitt-Hornmoen. I'm the Director of Business Systems Analysis for Shannex Incorporated in Nova Scotia. The number one problem we wanted to solve was transparency to our resident family members. That was our number one. Internally in the backend office, we wanted to improve double data entry. We wanted to remove that. We wanted to have the ability to look at information from anywhere in our organization, whether it's happening in Ontario, we could look at it here in Nova Scotia. Another big win for us was the continuum and the residents feeling like they have one record. Our goal with every scenario when we bring in our residents is for them to journey through our continuum as if it's one home. Even though they might change units, it's one home to them. One of the efficiencies we found was our accounts payable process. We were able to reduce our processes by 76%. So the time efficiencies we found were significant. We also found a 54% percent reduction in accounts receivable. The billing capabilities of Yardi for managed services is amazing. Compared to any other software we've used, it can take up to two hours to process and generate resident statements, which happens every month. And as you can imagine, we have approximately 5,000 residents. Doing statements to take two hours for each site is quite significant. So we found a 54% reduction there for us. We actually were able to achieve a significant improvement in that. Now, mind you, COVID was happening at the same time. We're able to flip gears. We didn't really think about this at the time, but using the RentCafe platform and the ability to send communication through RentCafe to every single contact that's in our system was a big win. Family members external from our facilities were able to stay in contact with all of our residents, as well as our team members. So we saw a pretty big increase in their happiness during that period of time as well, just having access to that information. So again, that was an achievement for us and we were quite pleased with the results.
