Before moving to Yardi, Brookfield relied on more than 18 different applications across accounting, leasing, development and operations. The patchwork of solutions made it difficult to maintain accurate data, slowed down processes such as payment approvals and hindered collaboration between property managers and accountants.

Brookfield’s journey with Yardi began in 2016 with its first implementation, followed by subsequent rollouts across regions and business lines. The transition to the Yardi platform reduced the company’s reliance on 18 separate applications to just 6, which simplified IT support needs and improved usability for staff.
From the outset, Brookfield has valued Yardi’s dedication to real estate. According to the company, competing solutions felt like accounting platforms with add-on leasing modules, while Yardi’s leasing first, real estate-centric design aligned with the company’s operations.

The company was an early collaborator in the development of Yardi Construction Manager and Yardi Forecast Manager, and helped shape features including real-time dashboards, scenario modeling and front-end usability for project managers. These tools not only streamlined budgeting and forecasting for Brookfield but also expanded access beyond accounting to include development managers, asset managers and property teams, which has deepened enterprise-wide collaboration.
