Department selects Yardi’s software-as-a-service platform for managing thousands of properties
SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., May 13, 2013– Yardi announced today that the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation will adopt Yardi Voyager™ for Government as its property management and accounting platform, continuing a business relationship with Yardi that dates back to 1995.
Parks & Recreation will use Yardi Voyager to track concession income and maintenance schedules at hundreds of parks covering many widely loved concessions ranging from Central Park pushcart vendors to Shake Shack.
As software-as-a-service (SaaS), Yardi Voyager is delivered to clients within one of three SaaS environment options: SaaS, SaaS Select or Private Cloud. Parks & Recreation chose the SaaS Select option for accessing Yardi Voyager, which allows the department to control its adoption of upgrades, new releases and plug-ins.
“We concluded that Voyager is the platform with the versatility to manage the incredible number and variety of assets under our jurisdiction,” said David Cerron, chief accountant of Parks & Recreation’s revenue division.
