The benefits

Pennrose gains visibility into team members’ training activities, ensuring progress is easy to track. The organization uses tools to create custom learning plans tailored to specific needs. It also achieves greater reporting potential through connectivity across Yardi solutions.

The company

Pennrose has a national reputation of excellence in real estate development and multifamily property management. Founded in 1971, Pennrose has a mission to improve the lives of working families by creating safe, secure housing communities. Pennrose has demonstrated an exceptional ability to develop and manage high-quality, affordable, conventional, mixed-income, mixed-use and master planned communities.

The challenge

Rethinking resource development

Pennrose identified room for improvement in the composition and analytical capabilities of its corporate training program. Its management team found challenges such as a lack of role-based learning plans for new hires and a lack of connectivity between training applications and other components of its team management system.

The solution

Yardi Aspire

Yardi Aspire is a learning management solution that fits seamlessly into the Yardi operating platform. It offers solutions for online courses, live events, HR analytics, corporate communications, compliance training histories, and more.

The story

Gaining insight

Prior to implementing Yardi Aspire, Pennrose could not gain deep insight into how its team members were using training materials.

Without a complete and connected learning management solution, Pennrose found it difficult to report on its training program. Pennrose trainers also did not have access to customize Yardi-specific coursework for its team members’ needs.

According to Sam Lopez, Pennrose’s director of Yardi systems, it takes nearly 90 hours, on average, to train newly hired staff. Implementing Yardi Aspire has made it easier for Pennrose trainers to tailor that extensive training for varying staff roles.

“Whatever the training need is, Yardi has it. It’s very easy to find content in Aspire and customize it to our needs with our own personal touches,” said Lopez.

Being able to see where new and current staff members are in their training assignments has made a huge difference. “The reporting capabilities afforded by Aspire are like night and day compared with our former process,” said Lopez.
