DMG Management Group upgrades to Yardi Genesis2


Mobile-enabled property management platform will improve resident services at developer’s apartment communities.

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Oct. 27, 2015 – Apartment developer DMG Management Group initially became a Yardi® client in 2011 to improve its internal operations with accurate reporting and real-time access to comprehensive operational and financial information. Changes in the multifamily marketplace recently prompted DMG Management Group to upgrade its technology again. This time it’s Yardi Genesis2, a mobile, Web-based, and cloud-hosted platform for owners and managers of small to mid-sized residential and commercial real estate portfolios.

“Mobility and other technology advances have become increasingly prominent in the property management industry. By providing mobile access to all information in our centralized database, Genesis2 represents the new technology we need to save time and money for our company,” said Heather A. The mobile aspect of Yardi Genesis2 will make it easier for DMG Management Group’s field staff to complete work orders, according to Ollish. “Letting maintenance employees send and receive work orders with smartphones will help us serve our residents better and promote retention,” she said.

She added, “Another feature of Genesis2 that we like is the ability to upload standard letters and print them for all residents, which decreases the manual labor our staff spends on routine communication with residents.”
