Company executives will show conference attendees how to leverage the latest advances for maximum benefit

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., April 7, 2014 – The Canadian Real Estate Technology Conference 2014 (CanTech) aims to show commercial real estate businesses how technology can increase their bottom line, streamline operations and cut costs. Yardi is lending active support to this objective with sponsorship and participation in several sessions.

The second annual CanTech, taking place April 10 in Toronto, features property managers, developers, institutional investors and others who use advanced technology for operations such as leasing, financing, compliance and marketing.

In one session, Alan James, industry principal for investment management and commercial for Yardi, will discuss maximizing technology investments as part of a five-member panel. The hour-long session is titled “How Do You Quantify the Benefit: Finding the Elusive ROI.”

Another CanTech session will present a virtual tour of the George Brown College campus in Toronto and highlight its sustainability, network operations systems and functionality features. It will be moderated by Heather Brady, Yardi’s national sales manager for Canada.

Finally, CanTech’s closing roundtable will feature an in-depth examination of the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating technology into a business strategy. Peter Altobelli, Yardi vice president of sales and general manager, Canadian office, is a featured panelist. He will be joined by senior executives from Brookfield Asset Management Inc., CBRE Limited, CIO Association of Canada, Tridel Corporation, Allied Properties REIT, Altus InSite and Cougar Software.

Yardi is a top-level Supporting Partner of CanTech 2014. Altobelli served on the conference’s advisory council.

“CanTech represents a great opportunity for leaders to pick up new ideas for working smarter that they can immediately put into practice. I look forward to hearing from attendees about their experiences and insight,” said Altobelli.
