Yardi Orion for SharePoint to Provide Business Intelligence and Document Management for Yardi Voyager Clients

‘Revolutionary’ platform integrates Voyager with Microsoft SharePoint for a faster, more cost effective SharePoint rollout

SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., March 15, 2012— Today Yardi announced Yardi Orion™ for SharePoint®, an innovative new platform that is available to Yardi Voyager™ clients. Yardi Orion integrates Yardi Voyager with Microsoft SharePoint and leverages Yardi Voyager’s operational, financial and ancillary information to provide Yardi clients with unprecedented business intelligence and visibility into their business. Offered as Software as a Service, Yardi Orion enables rapid, simplified deployment of SharePoint and expands access to information and documents across an entire organization.

Utilizing a pre-built data warehouse with business intelligence cubes, Yardi Orion includes out-of-the-box business intelligence dashboards to help Yardi Voyager users gain insight into their operations. Because the Yardi Voyager platform is an end-to-end business solution for property management, information can be combined and acted on in ways never before possible.

“For example, our Voyager clients who also use our resident screening service can combine screening results with resident history,” said Terri Dowen, senior vice president of sales for Yardi. “This correlates screening scores with skip, eviction and delinquency trends, allowing clients to adjust screening criteria to improve overall resident quality.”

Implementing SharePoint by itself presents a difficult challenge in terms of matching and maintaining property and document security with a property management system. The Yardi Orion framework is ground-breaking because it automatically synchronizes Voyager’s security and entity hierarchies with SharePoint. This speeds up the SharePoint rollout exponentially, and provides integration with the property management system that is not possible with SharePoint by itself.

Along with business intelligence, Yardi Orion also enables synchronized document management that allows documents to be securely accessed and updated from Yardi Voyager and SharePoint, preconfigured employee intranet portals, and portals for property marketing and resident services that include online lease execution and resident payments. Because Yardi Orion is built on a SharePoint platform, clients can take advantage of the customization capability of SharePoint to further customize or create their own dashboards and portals.
