Organised by Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA), the Asia Pacific Property Market Outlook 2020 series kicked off in Singapore. This event saw a large audience of senior and influential executives from leading real estate and related companies, and we heard from the industry’s voice on the Asia Pacific’s property market as they discuss on industry outlook, emerging trends and more.

Here are some key takeaways from the Asia Pacific Property Market Outlook – Increasing urbanisation is turbocharging many of the growth corridors in the region, with rising rents, accelerated job growth and tenant lifestyle preferences that mimic those of developed and larger markets. Alternative investments also continue to gain popularity, with 2020 expected to be another big year for data centres, non-traditional assets like cold storage, educational facilities, carparks and alternative forms of multifamily, among others. Core markets in Australia and Japan will maintain their broad appeal, enjoying attractive yield spreads. With capital increasingly allocated to commercial real estate, expect investors to write larger checks for properties they see as most desirable and sustainable.

Yardi is proud to be the Lead sponsor of Asia Pacific Property Market Outlook 2020 series, presented by APREA.
