What’s your job title and what do you like most about your job?

My job title is Regional Manager, ASEAN. In my role I get to meet clients from different countries especially in Southeast Asia where the culture and how business is conducted is so diverse. You always learn something new after each meeting and you can never get tired of learning new things every day!

What’s your favourite Yardi product and why?

Yardi Lease Manager. It allows the finance and asset management teams a quick view on their portfolio health whilst managing their tenant risk in real time. The next update will bring some great new lease administration functions that will change the user experience for leasing teams.

Number of years’ experience in the field?

I have been in business development work for almost 21 years and spent 15 years in the real estate market.

Name a good quality you see in yourself and a quality that you appreciate in other people/colleagues?

Something that I live by is to never give up and to do the best you can. I appreciate my colleagues’ patience as I tend to ask a lot of questions.

Top tip for keeping clients happy?

Always try to be in their shoes when they share their pain points. Look from their angle and that helps when proposing the right solution.

What do you love to do when you’re not working?

I love watching documentaries on engineering and architecture design.

Let us know a unique fact about yourself!

Even though I spent 7 years in the Air Force engineering team, I am still scared of flying! Every flight I am on, I will run through in my mind how each pilot responds to different situations, the settings, flaps’ position, throttle level, landing gear etc. All these factors are constantly on my mind and are simulated at different flying scenarios!

Do you have a favorite quote or life’s motto?

If you cannot change the environment to suit you, change yourself to suit the environment.

What could you not do without in your life?

My wife. I am a workaholic and I appreciate her understanding. And also, her support especially during more challenging times I’ve experienced.

What’s your favourite thing to eat?

Egg drop soup made by my wife. It’s a simple childhood dish but I’ll never grow tired of it.
