Pennsylvania-based company ‘excited’ over prospect of increasing leases and revenue with new call center, revenue management and check scanning products built into its Yardi Voyager platform
SANTA BARBARA, CALIF., Aug. 29, 2012– Yardi announced today that apartment community management firm RP Management Inc. expects to gain significant business advantages after implementing several new products from the Yardi Multifamily Suite™, including Yardi Call Center™, Yardi RENTmaximizer™ and Yardi CHECKscan™, in its Yardi Voyager™ property management and accounting platform.
RP Management, a 19-year Yardi client that upgraded to Yardi Voyager in 2007, recently sought new solutions to meet its business goals, including increasing leases and improving resident service. “We chose Yardi Call Center because we wanted to ensure that applicants can speak with someone 24 hours a day. Call Center can give them our pricing and availability information and schedule appointments with site staff,” said Michelle Meehan, vice president and controller for RP Management. “It’s also important that our existing residents be able to speak with a ‘live’ person who can take their maintenance requests or answer questions about their ledger balances.
“We anticipate that Call Center will help us not only gain new leases, but also keep our existing residents happy by making sure their maintenance calls are answered. Because it’s integrated with Voyager, Call Center gives people the impression they’re calling directly into our office. I’m excited that people will have their calls answered by a real person, 24 hours a day.”
To meet other emerging business initiatives, RP Management adopted Yardi RENTmaximizer, which increases revenue by automating the process of calculating best rents. “We’re looking to increase occupancy and revenue stream by helping our managers set competitive prices that are relevant to their marketplaces. We’re excited about implementing RENTmaximizer toward that end. I especially like that it’s built into our Voyager platform and draws property data directly from it,” Meehan said. Yardi RENTmaximizer will help RP Management set prices directly from the trends of supply, demand and market conditions (i.e., market comparisons).
RP Management is also in the early stages of adopting Yardi CHECKscan, which scans rent checks into electronic Yardi Voyager transactions and eliminates trips to the bank with same-day electronic bank deposits. “Our managers are going to love the convenience of CHECKscan,” Meehan said. “From an accounting perspective, I look forward to ensuring that rent payments will be automatically credited to the right people and deposited into the correct bank accounts. I believe that CHECKscan will help us increase efficiency at our properties by allowing our managers to focus on managing their properties and not running to the bank.”
