Global real estate technology provider makes donation to support local communities<\/em><\/p>\n

MAINZ, Germany,<\/strong> Aug. 5, 2021<\/strong> \u2013 As Germany continues to recover after record rainfall caused devasting floods leaving thousands in western Germany without access to drinking water, electricity or gas, Yardi\u00ae has donated to the German Red Cross to support relief and recovery efforts.<\/p>\n

The company has made a \u20ac100,000 donation to the German Red Cross<\/a> to support the affected people and the German flood relief efforts.<\/p>\n

The German Red Cross (GRC) is the national Red Cross Society in Germany. With 4 million members, it is the third largest Red Cross society in the world. The GRC offers a wide range of services within and outside Germany and provides 52 hospitals, care for the elderly, children and youth.<\/p>\n

The GRC has stated that it sees no signs of relief for many people in the disaster areas in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate yet. \u201cThe situation is disastrous and remains threatening. It is still a matter of saving lives and providing people with the most necessities\u201d, said DRK President Gerda Hasselfeldt. \u201cMany communities are still hard to access.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been shocked and saddened by the devastation caused to communities and individuals that have lost their homes and lives in the floods in Germany,\u201d said Neal Gemassmer, vice president of international at Yardi. \u201cSupporting our communities and those affected by disasters is an important part of Yardi\u2019s philosophy of giving back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Disaster relief has been a longstanding part of Yardi\u2019s corporate philanthropic program. In recent years the company supported recovery efforts from the Australia Fires<\/a> in New South Wales and Victoria, Thomas Fire<\/a> in Southern California, the Fort McMurray<\/a> wildfire in Canada, Hurricane Irma<\/a> in Florida and Hurricane Harvey<\/a> in Texas. The company also contributed to mobile disaster response command centres<\/a> in its hometown of Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n
