Over 2,000 businesses are supported via cloud today. Clouds are the most popular vehicle for delivering our products, and it\u2019s exciting to take our clients to the future with a SaaS solution.<\/p>\n<p>Like any software transition, the move brings up questions for our clients that we are happy to answer. Below find the responses to some of the inquiries we\u2019ve received so far via our social media channels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does this differ from the existing ASP product? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The closest offering to our current ASP model is SaaS-Select. \u00a0This deployment orientation provides the client with their own database and their own program version. \u00a0In other words, these items are dedicated to the client and they\u2019re not shared with others.\u00a0 This orientation allows the client to \u201cselect\u201d their own program versions and to upgrade those versions at a pace dictated by the client.\u00a0 The principal difference between ASP and SaaS-Select is that the SaaS environment will house Yardi\u2019s newer version of Voyager, Voyager S.\u00a0 This new version of Voyager contains compatibility with SQL Server Reporting Services, a new look and feel, and, in the future, the possibility for compatibility with browsers other than Internet Explorer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where do products like Orion, Mobility, and PayScan fit into Voyager S? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>This is a great question because of our recent announcement regarding our <a title=\"Yardi Orion Release\" href=\"..\/news\/orion-arrives\/817.html\">launch of Orion<\/a> which will be available on SaaS Select; all of our mobility options will work in SaaS or SaaS-Select. PAYScan is also available in SaaS or SaaS-Select.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019m a current Yardi client on Voyager 6.0. What\u2019s my upgrade path? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Voyager S is the upgrade path from v6. In the initial release you\u2019ll notice improvements in reporting and the ability to support Microsoft reporting services.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Is Voyager S different from Voyager 7? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The Voyager S platform, the Voyager version available within SaaS or SaaS-Select, is built upon Voyager 6.0.
