Picture yourself getting haircut while all your coworkers stand around, snack on cheese and sparkling juice, and watch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was incredibly different for me,\u201d Dylan admitted. \u201cI didn\u2019t like being the main focus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And despite all the compliments he\u2019s gotten on his new look, it also took him awhile to realize that his lengthy locks were no longer attached to his scalp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the first couple days I kept reaching back to take out of the ponytail and realized that it wasn\u2019t there anymore,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jacquelyn Bauer, Director of Point 2 Customer Care, gave us her version of the pony tale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEver since Dylan started working at Point2, his hair has been halfway down his back.\u00a0 We always teased him and asked when he would be cutting his hair, to which we received non-committal responses.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_870\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-870\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-870 size-medium\" title=\"Dylan Cline hair cut\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Point2 Cline getting haircut\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?resize=768,512 768w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=400 400w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=500 500w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=600 600w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=720 720w, https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2012\/03\/Dylan-Cut.jpg?w=800 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-870\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dylan during the scissors<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAfter a recent return from maternity leave, I was catching up with former team members.\u00a0 Dylan was sitting in my office one day chatting, and the topic turned to his hair.\u00a0 I asked him if thought he would ever cut it, to which he replied, \u2018You know, I&#8217;ve actually been thinking I&#8217;m ready to.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t take the credit for coming up with the idea as we had a similar fundraiser a number of years ago, and it was a huge success.\u00a0 I asked Dylan if he would be game to do something similar, and he was all for it.\u00a0 He said he would love to raise money for a charity involving children, and the rest is history!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dylan\u2019s hair will go to <a title=\"Love of Love Charity\" href=\"http:\/\/www.locksoflove.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Locks of Love<\/a> and the money raised from the Chop 4 Charity fundraiser benefits the <a title=\"Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan\" href=\"http:\/\/www.childrenshospitalsask.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Children\u2019s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan<\/a>. Were it not for places like that, their kids may not be here today. So it was partially my own history and who better to give it than a kid,\u201d Dylan said of his motivations for making the big change.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to his work in customer service, Dylan also enjoys helping others. He\u2019s known for his ability to handle multiple Point2 clients simultaneously with issues involving tech support and product set-up and functionality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s nice to have people ask you how to solve things. Being a problem solver is fun,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In his free time, Dylan enjoys video games, website design, spending time with friends and family, cycling around Saskatoon, and going to the movies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* \u00a0 \u00a0* \u00a0 \u00a0* \u00a0 \u00a0*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learn more about Dylan:<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favorite type of music?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I don\u2019t really have a constant favorite. A few years ago, it used to be Heavy Metal (Even helped set up a Metallica concert!), but lately I\u2019ve been listening to much more Dubstep (Skrillex, Deadmau5, the UFK Dub people, etc). I also will listen to older rock, and folk music though. So, really\u2026 I\u2019ll listen to anything from Bob Dylan, to Valdy, to Skrillex.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favorite book of all time and (optional: why)?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>My favorite *<strong>series<\/strong>* of all time is probably Lord of the Rings, since it\u2019s one of the first book series I ever read, and really cemented my love of all things geeky (dragons, knights, etc).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you have an hour of free time to spare, what do you do with it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>It really depends on my mood. If I\u2019m feeling overly creative, I\u2019ll write or play at designing various aspects of a website I\u2019m (very slowly) putting together. If I\u2019m not feeling so creative, I\u2019d probably spend it playing random videogames, or browsing Reddit. Specifically the \u201cToday I Learned\u201d subreddit. Some amazing information there!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What kinds of food do you like?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pretty much anything, honestly. There\u2019s a very small list of food that I don\u2019t like. I would have to say my favorite food of all time though, is veal cordon blue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where is the most interesting place you\u2019ve ever traveled?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I really haven\u2019t traveled much, and I\u2019ve never actually been outside of Canada. British Columbia is my favorite province that I have traveled to so far, simply for its beauty. Eventually, I would love to go to New Zealand.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you like best about your job?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Getting an angry customer at the start of a call, and then having them end up happy by the end of the same call. Always a good day when I can reverse someone\u2019s bad mood.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or historical, who would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I would have to say Nathan Fillion; I was a huge fan of the Firefly tv show, and from various interviews and such, he seems like a guy who\u2019d be a ton of fun to spend time with.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the words you live by?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>That\u2019s a hard question to answer, as it\u2019s changed a few times. Ghandi\u2019s quote of \u201cBe the change you want to see in the world\u201d is always a good one, and has stuck with me for quite some time as well. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you want to be when you grow up?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This quote is the best answer to this question I have ever heard:<\/p>\n<p><em>When I was 5 years old, my mom told me that happiness was the key to life.<\/em><em><br \/>\nWhen I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I<br \/>\nwrote down \u201chappy\u201d. They told me I didn\u2019t understand the assignment. I told<br \/>\nthem they didn\u2019t understand life.\u201d \u2013 John Lennon<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you could own one piece of famous art, sculpture, memorabilia or historic artifact, what would the item be?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I actually have no desire to own any piece of famous art, mostly because anything I would want to have would be one of a kind, and those types of pieces should be enjoyed by everyone.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are some things on your bucket list?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Most of them include travel, or doing something crazy. There are some places where they have \u201cAirsoft\u201d war games \u2013 it\u2019s like paintball, but with tiny plastic pellets instead of paintballs. That would be a ton of fun.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What was your last Do It Yourself project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m in the middle of creating a website, and a month or so ago I built my first computer. I also like carpentry, but since I no longer live on a farm, I no longer have access to a woodshop.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What athlete or sports figure do you most admire?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Dean Karnazes; He is an American long distance runner. The guy is basically super-human. If you haven\u2019t heard of him, he\u2019s #5 in this list: <\/em><a title=\"Superpowers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cracked.com\/article_19661_6-real-people-with-mind-blowing-mutant-superpowers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Real People With Mind Blowing Superpowers<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What online sites do you visit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Reddit, and many of its boards. The Web Design, Today I Learned, and Ask Me Anything sections are probably my favorite. Outside of Reddit, I spend a lot of time on ThinkGeek.com, and also use the \u201cStumbleUpon\u201d browser addon which sends me to random cool webpages throughout the internet. (I warn you, StumbleUpon is addictive, once you\u2019ve properly set up your interests).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you could have a super power, what would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Perfect memory, with instant recall. Being able to instantly remember anything I ever read, watched, or heard\u2026 would really come in handy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s something about you that few people know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>I secretly spend time browsing the \u201c<a title=\"Aww on Reddit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/aww\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aww<\/a>\u201d board of Reddit\u00a0 which is chalk-full of cute stuff.
