Domonique Dozier\u2019s skills at guiding clients through troubleshooting on their Yardi PopCard<\/a> product have been compared to an Air Traffic Controller working from the tower.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is so much fun to watch Domonique work when she navigates through her three screens, it is like she is landing an airplane! She has complete control of property remote sessions, guiding each manager through their calls for assistance,\u201d said her colleague Stephen Hennessey in Yardi\u2019s Orange County office.<\/p>\n

In fact, Dozier\u2019s true professional background is as a licensed vocatio\"domoniquedozier\"nal nurse. Dozier finished her nursing credential in 2011, the same year she took a position with Lead Tracking Solutions. Yardi acquired LTS in 2012.<\/p>\n

What do nursing and technical support have in common? Well, it turns out that someone with a caring and nurturing personality can be very good at both of them, and grace under pressure is another vital crossover skill.<\/p>\n

\u201cDomonique is calm, cool and always assisting with the politest voice over the phone. Each tech call is assisted with confidence,\u201d Hennessey said. \u201cShe is truly amazing at her job, and it shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Domonique readily admits that she loves taking care of people, from her PopCard clients to her patients to her little sister, who she watched over while growing up. She is also active in her family\u2019s karaoke business. Another one of her secret skills is hula hooping \u2013 she recently won a contest at the Yardi office.<\/p>\n

Dozier fell into the real estate technology world quite by accident. While supporting herself during nursing school, she took a job working for a real estate investment firm that acquired and rehabilitated properties around the U.S. She found that the real estate industry truly interested her \u2013 so much so that she would like to become the owner and manager of rental property herself someday.<\/p>\n

Working with Yardi clients who use PopCard as their lead tracking software for recording prospect data instantly, maximizing follow-up opportunities, and turning more leads into leases, she\u2019s learned that clients are thrilled with the PopCard product.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love to hear that they love it and they can\u2019t live without it,\u201d she said. \u201cThey tell me they dream about it! People are very attached to their PopCard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having a personal affinity for systems analysis has benefited Dozier in both of her jobs. Checking in on a patient isn\u2019t all that different from checking in on a tech support client, she noted. Recording notes about their condition at a given time and monitoring the response to fixes or treatments applied also carries across both types of work.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou check your patient, you talk with her patient, you go through the protocols \u2013 same idea with PopCard; is it running slow? What changed from yesterday to today?\u201d<\/p>\n

With much of her extended family living in Los Angeles, Dozier spends a lot of time traveling. She enjoys hanging out with her family, and has an affinity for Fun and is always happy to help with whatever request her friends or family might have. Sounds like her clients, patients and many others are lucky to be in her capable hands.<\/p>\n
