For amendments, it displays a side-by-side comparison with the original terms and highlights the changes. Once you approve the abstracted terms, the system extracts them to the tenant record in Voyager 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process works even if the original lease has not been executed yet. It can also support amendments that originate in Yardi Deal Manager or Yardi Retail Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amendment abstraction builds on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardi.com\/blog\/ai-lease-abstraction-software\/\">AI lease abstraction<\/a> Smart Lease already handles for new leases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fewer-lease-amendment-errors-amp-faster-execution\">Fewer lease amendment errors &amp; faster execution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart Lease finds the changes an amendment drives, so your team doesn&#8217;t compare documents by hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long, dense amendments invite missed terms and re-keying errors. Smart Lease is trained on your leases, so it knows which sections and terms to look for. A person reviews the results, and approved terms write directly to the lease record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-one-system-from-loi-to-renewal\">One system from LOI to renewal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart Deal, the automated letter of intent (LOI) abstraction tool in Deal Manager, extends this to the start of the lease lifecycle. You can abstract proposal details, evaluate your pipeline, execute leases and update them in one system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-redesigned-lease-extraction-screen\">Redesigned lease extraction screen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The extraction screen has been rebuilt to mirror the amendment process in Voyager 8. For teams already using Voyager 8, the reworked process shortens the learning curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lease-amendment-comparison-amp-data-readiness-review\">Lease amendment comparison &amp; data readiness review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Save to Lease Summary gives a consolidated review of abstracted results. Each result shows a confidence level and a data readiness review, which flags problems with a lease or amendment before extraction and keeps incomplete or questionable data out of the ledger. You must accept the review before finalizing the extraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amendment Comparison sets the existing lease against the abstracted amendment terms and highlights every change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-auto-train-builds-a-lease-model-from-your-own-documents\">Auto-train builds a lease model from your own documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart Lease uses machine learning to improve over time, and auto-train removes much of the manual tagging from that process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tenants, especially larger ones, may send variations on your own lease forms, and auto-train shortens the time it takes Smart Lease to handle them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auto-train uses modeling to identify the lease factors to look for in your documents. It also maps terms to Smart Lease entities and classification values, and the new Relevant Records feature shows the reference data behind those mappings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new Examples page lists every training example in use, so you can validate the lease text behind each one before retraining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-single-connected-solution-after-lease-execution\">A single connected solution after lease execution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Approved terms write directly to the Voyager 8 lease record, so charges, escalations and recovery setup drive billing from day one. Tenants pay rent and submit work orders through CommercialCafe, and every transaction posts to the GL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart AP codes incoming invoices, and the optional Smart Approval Premium Agent approves routine invoices and flags ones that need human review. Common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and owner reports draw from the same ledger the lease terms were written to, so recoveries tie back to the clause that created them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MCP Connectors and AI Report Builder let you ask questions and build reports across your accounting system and your leases. Everything else here lives in and writes back to Voyager 8 with no exports or APIs required.
