\"Aaron's<\/a>Whether he\u2019s your friendly North Carolina neighbor or the Senior Technical Account Manager who made implementation of your RentCafe property marketing website<\/a> a breeze, Aaron Wells is the kind of guy who everybody enjoys getting to know.<\/p>\n

His good-natured outlook is on display all year long, whether he\u2019s cruising around his rural farm on the tractor, hanging out on the couch with his family and potbellied pig (one of many animals who call the Wells\u2019 farm home) or dressed up as a RentCafe coffee cup for Halloween.<\/p>\n

Aaron showed extreme team spirit when he and wife Terra created his cardboard and cloth costume, which effectively branded his loyalty to the RentCafe product. A Yardi<\/a> account manager since 2007, he has enjoyed implementing new clients on\u00a0 RentCafe, which helps market multifamily properties to new renters and provide existing residents with better customer service.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ultimate goal is to get the word out about their properties and being in new prospect traffic,\u201d said Wells, who has worked with the\u00a0 RentCafe implementation team since 2009. He enjoys the friendly and fun atmosphere of the Raleigh office and the ever-changing nature of the software business.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone at Yardi is really cool, and always has been,\u201d he told us.<\/p>\n

Wells fits neatly in the cool category as well. A Raleigh native, he and Terra bought their farm outside the city seven years ago to get away from the city life. She\u2019s a veterinarian, so their home has become a refuge for animals \u2013 there are horses, chickens, dogs, cats, pigs and a duck in residence. All are rescues of some sort, except for one new puppy. Niblet, the house pig, was a potbellied pet pig who grew bigger than his owner expected. But even at his current 80 pounds, he still gets to sit with Aaron on the couch.<\/p>\n

Despite living 55 miles from the Yardi office, Aaron goes through just four stoplights on his commute to work every morning, which he sometimes makes on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Traffic isn\u2019t an issue \u2013 the drive usually only takes 45 minutes, unless he gets stuck behind a tractor or a school bus.<\/p>\n

With his great affection for the open land of his farm, road trips on the Harley, and fishing in North Carolina lakes and on the Atlantic Ocean, Aaron has dialed in a life that includes many of his favorite things.\u00a0 He and Terra are also raising their four-year-old daughter, Cassidy, on the farm. \"A<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, farm life isn\u2019t all scenic views and wide open spaces. It includes plenty of chores and hard work, too.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do everything on the farm \u2013 when it comes to maintenance, I am the one and only handyman. When there\u2019s fences that need repairs, vehicles down, tractors not working, it\u2019s all me,\u201d he said. But we weren\u2019t convinced this was an actual complaint. Just as with his day job, Aaron is one of those lucky people who gets to do what he loves.<\/p>\n
