Yardi Aspire has grown exponentially and now offers over 1300 titled courses, much of which is due to Sam Vald\u00e9s, manager for Yardi Aspire from the Santa Barbara office.<\/p>\n

Meet Sam Vald<\/strong>\u00e9s<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sam Vald\u00e9s, celebrating her eighth year at Yardi in December, is a shining example of dedication. Her teams with Yardi Aspire write and produce the courses, videos and other content assets available in the Aspire product. Most videos are available in Client Central and\/or product Help documentation. Vald\u00e9s spends most of her time supporting team members as they work on content projects through one-on-one meetings, group brainstorming, and reviewing storyboards or course designs.<\/p>\n

Vald\u00e9s enjoys working with clients on their training needs and has formed significant partnerships over the years. \u201cIt\u2019s always a pleasure learning from the people who use our product daily,\u201d said Vald\u00e9s. In addition to working with clients, Vald\u00e9s enjoys helping our clients\u2019 employees build knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we offer can assist people with feeling more confident in their work, growing as individuals, and advancing in their careers. It\u2019s rewarding to know we offer value not only at the organizational level but also at the individual level,\u201d explained Vald\u00e9s, underscoring the profound impact of her work.<\/p>\n

Take Care of our Employees<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vald\u00e9s appreciates that Yardi genuinely strives to fulfill its company motto\u2014to take care of our clients, employees, and communities. This attitude of taking care of each other shows up in the approach to teamwork across the organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my role, I\u2019m uniquely positioned to work with dozens of product teams in multiple markets, and everyone is always willing to help each other. In the end, we know we\u2019re team Yardi, and whatever we can do to benefit each other benefits everyone, including our clients,\u201d said Vald\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

When Vald\u00e9s talks with prospective new hires, she describes Yardi as a property management software company that, at its core, develops accounting software but also provides software for everything else one can imagine for property management. What we have here is difficult to find and gives Vald\u00e9s the security with no intentions of going elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Vald\u00e9s has been lucky to have grown the Yardi Aspire courses over her time at Yardi. From starting at 600-700 courses, it now offers more than 1300 titles and adds more every quarter!<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so grateful to work at this company and with the Aspire team! It\u2019s truly a privilege I don\u2019t take for granted,\u201d expressed Vald\u00e9s, radiating her love for the company and her team.<\/p>\n

Vald\u00e9s thinks it would be fun to switch roles with Tim Hoover for a day when he\u2019s getting to scout out locations and musical acts for YASC. And when it comes to some of her best advice, perfection is not possible, \u201cholding out for perfection can actually get in the way. Instead, we must aim for excellence (and sometimes just good enough) to truly be successful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside the office, Vald\u00e9s enjoys spending time with her family and friends hiking, camping, attending local trivia nights, going to the beach or swimming in the Santa Ynez River. She also enjoys reading and has a collection of more than 500 books but has yet to have read them all. She would love to visit The Alps in Switzerland and Austria one day.<\/p>\n
