PADV is the largest nonprofit domestic violence organization in Georgia, providing professional, compassionate, and empowering support to survivors of domestic violence and their children.<\/p>\n

Yardi-supported nonprofit Partnership Against Domestic Violence<\/a> (PADV), established in 1975 PADV, is working to end the crime of domestic violence and empower its survivors in the Atlanta metroplex.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur vision is a community free of domestic violence,\u201d said Navvab McDaniels, grants facilitator for PADV.<\/p>\n

PADV works to educate the public on the dynamics of domestic violence, promote healthy dating relationships to prevent future violence, offer safety and shelter to those affected by domestic violence, and restore power, self-sufficiency and control to them. PADV provides services to those affected by domestic violence with a 24-hour crisis line, two 24-hour emergency shelters, legal advocacy, supportive housing, a dating violence prevention program, outreach programs, workshops on the effects of domestic violence and community education and training.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnnually, we serve 15,000 individuals and reach more than 35,000 with our message of ending domestic violence,\u201d shared McDaniels.<\/p>\n

PADV plans to relocate its Fulton County emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children to a beautiful new property that is part of its $6 million capital campaign. Additionally, PADV will expand counseling services to ensure a thorough level of wrap-around services to all affected by domestic violence at any age or stage in life. PADV also plans to increase its housing units for those needing shelter and help securing their apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor 2025, we will be celebrating our 50th<\/sup> Anniversary as an organization and are looking forward to expanding our reach with our community partners by doing more community outreach to help more survivors who need help during such a difficult time in their life,\u201d explained McDaniels.<\/p>\n

Funding from Yardi provides vital foundational support to PADV\u2019s programming. Over the years, donations from Yardi have helped PADV upgrade its software systems to serve its clients better and document its impact, improve its children\u2019s playground, and support its housing and wrap-around support services for those affected by domestic violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the support that PADV has received from Yardi! Yardi\u2019s donations have funded special projects, programming, and general support. Our staff has been so grateful for the funding because it means they can keep their focus on our mission, working towards a community free of domestic violence,\u201d McDaniels expressed.<\/p>\n

Melinda\u2019s Journey to Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

Melinda sought safety at PADV this past April after being inflicted by severe abuse from her boyfriend. She found a haven at PADV to support and rebuild her life. The staff welcomed her with open arms and offered her a safe environment and a comprehensive support system. Upon her arrival, the PADV team immediately addressed Melinda\u2019s urgent needs. They provided her with a secure and stable environment, emotional support, and the daily essentials required for her and her children. Understanding the importance of stability, the shelter staff quickly began developing a plan to help Melinda transition to a more permanent living situation. By mid-May, Melinda could secure a new apartment with the help of PADV, who provided logistical support and ensured that all her paperwork was in order.<\/p>\n

Melinda\u2019s story is a testament to the profound impact of PADV\u2019s services. By offering a safe space, emotional support, and practical assistance, the organization enabled her to rebuild her life. Melinda\u2019s journey from a place of fear and uncertainty to a stable and confident life is a source of inspiration and hope. She now enjoys the peace and stability of her apartment and is equipped with the confidence and tools to move forward.<\/p>\n
