Yardi is committed to supporting the community in every city where our offices are housed. Each year, the company distributes philanthropic aid<\/a> to organizations selected by its employees.<\/p>\n\n\n

Today, we introduce Traffick911<\/a> of Addison, Texas, founded in 2009. Traffick911 exists with the sole purpose of freeing youth from sex trafficking by building trust-based relationships. Traffick911 has a 24\/7 crisis response Voice & Choice Program team that walks alongside child sex trafficking victims along with multi-disciplinary team partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traffick911 hopes to expand its advocacy team so more child survivors of sex trafficking have an advocate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAdvocacy at Traffick911 is built upon trust-based relationships, meaning that we go deep with the youth we serve and those in our community,\u201d said Dominique Arce, mission engagement coordinator for Traffick911.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the organization hopes to provide further support to families and caregivers with their children during recovery periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding from Yardi helps Traffick911\u2019s mission and allows them to expand their impact to serve more kids than ever. Advocates spend nearly every day in the community meeting with youth and walking alongside them in their freedom journey. Through play and fun activities, advocates build trust and can work towards Traffick911’s goal of seeing communities free from relationship deviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are completely humbled and grateful to Yardi! During our weekly team meeting, we had the chance to share the news with our entire staff. You should have heard the cheers! Every dollar given to Traffick911 is a YES to a child sex trafficking survivor. Truly, we would not be able to impact the lives of the survivors we serve without you. Alaina\u2019s Freedom Journey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOftentimes, when we begin our journey with a survivor, their exploitation has been extensive\u2014rarely are we able to intervene in the very beginning of a child\u2019s exploitation,\u201d shares Arce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where Alaina\u2019s journey begins and how the stars aligned as she recovered immediately after being first exploited, which changed the landscape of her life in ways she had never imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Alaina started with Traffick911, it took her three months to feel comfortable opening up to her advocate. Her past situation crushed her self-esteem and diminished her ability to dream. She had fears of abandonment, but after working with her advocate with careful consideration, she shared her history and was able to bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slowly but surely, her advocate was able to walk alongside Alaina as she began to rediscover her self-worth. Aliana was able to dig deep and recognize how some of the trauma from her past affected her in the present. She was able to express herself comfortably in writing and text messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been over two years since Aliana connected with her advocate, and just a few months ago, she shared a new dream of writing a book about her past experiences. She has set a goal of completing her GED and is taking the essential steps on her journey to freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne act of selfishness was not able to dismantle this brave survivor\u2019s ability to dream,\u201d Arce shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the sensitive nature of Traffick911\u2019s work and the children they serve, most volunteer opportunities are administrative or event-based. Anyone interested in volunteering can attend its Anti-Trafficking Orientation or email dominique@traffick911.com for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
