National Assisted Living Week (NALW)<\/a> is here! If you\u2019re unfamiliar, NALW is an annual initiative established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL)<\/a> that celebrates assisted living communities and the individuals they serve. The week-long initiative encourages communities to offer events in observance of a specific theme \u2014 announced by NCAL each year \u2014 for residents, family members, staff and volunteers to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n

The inspiring theme for 2023 \u2014 Season of Reflection<\/strong> \u2014 is all about pausing to reflect on the important things in life, including the special bonds created within assisted living communities. And to no surprise, our Yardi senior living clients<\/a> are doing just that \u2014 encouraging thoughtful reflection through a variety of creative events and heartfelt messages across social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re pleased to share a snapshot of what these fantastic clients have done so far, and we applaud each and every community celebrating NALW this year. Not only do the celebrations spark an appreciation for residents, staff and more \u2014 but they also help spread awareness on the importance of assisted living in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yardi clients celebrate National Assisted Living Week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thrive Senior Living<\/a> took to social media in spirit of NALW, sharing an informative video<\/a> with helpful tips for choosing the right community. They also posted a sweet thank you message on LinkedIn<\/a> to recognize their associates for changing the lives of residents across Thrive communities. \u201cThank you to all our AL staff for the helping hands you provide,\u201d wrote Thrive in the post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benchmark Senior Living<\/a> joined the conversation with a thoughtful blog post focusing on the meaning behind NALW \u2014 and their devotion to this year\u2019s theme. Sharing the blog post on LinkedIn<\/a>, Benchmark wrote, \u201cThis year’s theme beautifully encapsulates what it means to feel gratitude for all we have and cherish each moment.\u201d Read Benchmark\u2019s blog post on NALW<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maplewood Senior Living<\/a> also posted on social media in honor of NALW<\/a>, sharing their excitement for the celebrations to come and noting the value of assisted living for today\u2019s seniors. \u201cWe want to emphasize how assisted living can significantly contribute to seniors leading longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives,\u201d shared Maplewood in the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established by NCAL in 1995, National Assisted Living Week offers a unique opportunity to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for seniors, as well as individuals with disabilities. The annual observance encourages communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve \u2014 and to help educate members of the public about this distinctive aspect of long term care.\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b \u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, NCAL releases a variety of resources to help communities prepare for the week-long observance, including an extensive planning guide<\/a> with suggestions for activities, media tips and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
