\"Mitchells<\/a>Isabella Mitchell\u2019s \u00a0outlook on life is simple: One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, or how much was in my bank account, but the world may be a little better because I was important to a child.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s not just children that Isabella, a mother of two, wants to make a difference with.\u00a0 She has a passion for creating an experience. As an implementation team lead for residential and condo clients of Yardi<\/a> based in Glen Head, N.Y., Isabella takes great pride in connecting with clients.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you can form a relationship with the client it just makes the whole journey better. From the kickoff call till the upgrade to the live team phone call, it should be a Yardi experience: \u00a0a professional, friendly, personal experience,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Creating the Yardi experience is second nature to Isabella because Yardi combines all of her favorite things: people, real estate, and computers. \u00a0She was first attracted to technology in primary school and later attended St. John\u2019s University, where she earned a degree in computer science.\u00a0 After college, she spent several years at Dale Carnegie Training (her parents happened to work there as well) in the IT dept.\u00a0 The experience helped foster Isabella\u2019s love of people and she was able to take some of the management training courses they provided, developing skills that she still uses daily.<\/p>\n

Born into an Italian family, Isabella\u2019s kids are first generation Americans. Culture and extended family are two vital parts of daily life. On holidays, those priorities move to the forefront. \u00a0Christmas Day at the Mitchell house is an event, the same way her mom has always done it. Twenty-two guests enjoy a seven course Italian meal with every dish made from scratch.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me those parties are important, because you get so few times to be with your family you want to make those times enjoyable,\u201d Isabella said.<\/p>\n

\"Habitat<\/a>Planning, cooking and hosting such a large group might tire out the average person, but not Isabella. She still finds time to nurture her internal DIY\u2019er, and support her community. \u201cI\u2019m really good at ripping stuff out,\u201d she said while letting out a chuckle. That\u2019s why \u201cHabitat for Humanity was a lot of fun only because I love homes – HGTV is my favorite channel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Using a nail gun at the recent volunteer Habitat work day made her day. \u201cThey showed John Caputo<\/a> and I how to use the nail gun and we ended up having so much fun we were fighting over who could use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s applied her do-it-yourself skills to her own basement as well, giving the kids a place to go while she hosts the adults upstairs. \u00a0The space she created is prefect to nurture young imaginations with a castle on the wall, soft puzzle pieces on the ground and a chalkboard on another wall.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I host a party, it\u2019s my responsibility to make sure I have to have the right atmosphere, the right food, the right drinks, I have to be in the right mood when they come in and then they\u2019ll have a good time and that\u2019s what how I imagine it for my clients at Yardi.\u201d<\/p>\n
