Cowboy Properties defines resident\u2019s happiness as peace of mind, achieved through \u201cresponding quickly, and following through completely, to service requests,\u201d as well as \u201crespecting the trust that has been placed in us when a resident chooses one of our communities as home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cowboy Properties currently manages 20 apartment communities of around 3,000 units throughout the West, in Utah, Nebraska and Colorado. Utah is the focal point of Cowboy Properties\u2019 activities, managing 16 completed communities in large urban hubs such as Salt Lake City and Park City as well as in smaller urban areas such as Sandy or Draper. Cowboy Properties manages the communities of affiliate Cowboy Partners, one of the top multi-family and mixed-use developers in the West. Cowboy Partners traces its organizational roots back to the 1950s. Projects developed by Cowboy Partners and managed by Cowboy Properties include Tregaron Senior in Bellevue, Nevada, Woodlands in Ft. Collins, Colorado, Liberty Peak in Park City, Utah and Liberty CityWalk in Salt Lake City, Utah.<\/p>\n

Cowboy Properties believes not only in a resident-centric business model, but also in giving back to the community. The company\u2019s Cowboy Pledge initiative aims to connect residents looking to get involved and share their resources to give back to the community. The causes championed by the Cowboy Pledge are as varied as are collecting food bank donations, planting trees in local parks, assembling and donating backpacks with school supplies and helping redecorating patient rooms at the Ronald McDonald House. Residents can sign up for events by a simple phone call or email and participate in successful events such as the 2014 Back to School Backpack Drive, through which 110 backpacks or book bags were filled Cowboy Properties\u2019 volunteer residents. The backpacks were distributed in five Salt Lake City area schools.<\/p>\n

Growing portfolio<\/strong><\/p>\n

With ever-expanding holdings, Cowboy Properties and Cowboy Partners will soon welcome another addition to their growing portfolios with the winter 2014 opening of the $29 million Liberty Village Apartments. The 171-unit mixed-income apartment project will open in Salt Lake City\u2019s popular Sugar House neighborhood. The five-story community features 136 market rate apartments and 35 affordable units renting at 50% or below the area median income. The affordable units are targeting the workforce of the Sugar House neighborhood, as per the request of the Sugar House Community Council.<\/p>\n

The 135,962-square-foot community features high-end studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments that come fully equipped and offer features such as stainless steel appliances and washer\/dryers. Units range between 502 and 1,056 square feet. Rents start at $538.<\/p>\n

Liberty Village community amenities include a fitness center, club-house, bike racks, self-service bike-center, controlled access and controlled access parking. Built according to National Green Building Standards, the community is energy-, water- and resource efficient. NGBS are also reflected in unit size.<\/p>\n

In accordance with NGBS, as well as its location within the Sugar House Business District, Liberty Village Apartments features below grade parking and no on-grade or surface parking. Furthermore, the community is located within close proximity to mass-transit, retail opportunities, restaurants, entertainment, theaters, recreational and fitness opportunities. The Sugar House Business District was created to promote walkable communities, with a transit-oriented, mixed-use town center supporting a 24-hour population.<\/p>\n

Other examples of Cowboy Properties Salt Lake City projects include the 73-unit Liberty CityWalk, a low-income, high-amenity community in downtown Salt Lake City. Built over a parking podium, Liberty CityWalk features a club room, cardio fitness center, residents\u2019 courtyard, private parking. Liberty Metro, in downtown Salt Lake features 100 mixed-income units with amenities such as a theater room, entertainment lounge, fitness center, clubroom and business center. Liberty Landing, the 216-unit West Jordan, UT community proves that stylish living comes to small towns too, courtesy of Cowboy Properties and amenities such as a pool, spa, miles of walking trails. Other amenities include a business library, fitness center clubhouse, playground, onsite storage, direct-access garages and access to over 40 retail stores.
