Most recently, the company enhanced its mobile capabilities, business continuity, tenant services and invoice processing\u2014all with Yardi solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Denholtz upgraded its <a title=\"Yardi Voyager\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yardi.com\/products\/yardi-voyager-commercial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yardi Voyager<\/a><sup>\u00ae<\/sup> property management and accounting platform to 7S, the newest, fully mobile version of Yardi Voyager. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) option allows Denholtz to determine when to apply upgrades, new releases and plug-ins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the most attractive features of our upgraded Voyager system is mobile capability that lets us communicate in real time with our staff about work orders and other activities. We can easily monitor what the staff is working on, and their activities are automatically recorded in Voyager. It\u2019s a powerful product in terms of efficiency and tenant service with functionality we didn\u2019t previously have,\u201d said Steve Cassidy (right), president of Denholtz Associates.<\/p>\n<p>Superstorm Sandy, which battered the U.S. East Coast in October 2012, underscored the importance of business continuity for the New Jersey firm. \u201cSandy disrupted our business for 14 days. We couldn\u2019t communicate with tenants, cut checks or process payments. With Voyager SaaS in place, if something similar happened again we would suffer less disruption and financial loss because we could work remotely and know our business data was securely backed up offsite,\u201d Cassidy said. He added, \u201cVoyager SaaS also improves time management for our staff. They spent a lot of time on self-hosting activities, and now it\u2019s more efficient and less costly to use our software without having to also maintain it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Denholtz uses another new Yardi product, <a title=\"CommercialCafe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yardi.com\/products\/commercialcafe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COMMERCIAL<i>Caf\u00e9<\/i><\/a>\u2122, to offer tenants the convenience of online access to statements, maintenance requests, and other services from their desktops or mobile devices. \u201cWe can easily communicate with tenants and they can look up their accounts receivables and other information at their convenience, wherever they might be. COMMERCIAL<i>Caf\u00e9<\/i> gives us the platform we need to keep pace with today\u2019s tenants, and the product\u2019s self-service features save us payroll costs,\u201d Cassidy said.<\/p>\n<p>Taking another step to improve efficiency, Denholtz discarded its third-party accounts payable provider in favor of Yardi PAYscan\u2122 which scans invoices into electronic transactions and automates workflow across the approval process. Yardi PAYscan is a component of <a title=\"Yardi Procure to Pay\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yardi.com\/products\/yardi-procure-to-pay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yardi Procure to Pay<\/a>\u2122, an end-to-end, paperless invoice processing and procurement system. \u201cWe no longer need a third-party accounts payable provider because approval workflows, invoice processing and payments are all done within Yardi Voyager,\u201d Cassidy said. \u201cThis will be faster, easier and less expensive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matawan, N.J.-based Denholtz Associates is a privately held development, investment and management company active in office, industrial, flex and retail real estate.
