We\u2019re delighted to introduce Ben Simpson, who has joined the Yardi team in our London office. Let\u2019s get to know him better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve joined the business as a Senior Account Executive within the Commercial team, where I focus on supporting our customers and helping them maximise the value of their partnership with Yardi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My role is centred on ensuring our existing customers continue to see value from working with Yardi, while also introducing new organisations to our solutions. Given the complex challenges our technology helps solve, a key part of my job is coordinating closely with colleagues across Yardi to bring the right expertise together and guide customers through the process with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before joining Yardi, I worked in a similar role at UKG, a provider of HR, workforce management and payroll solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My top priority is securing my first net-new customer and continuing to build strong relationships across the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m a big believer in effective diary management. I rely heavily on Outlook to structure my day, ensuring I stay focused, allocate the right amount of time to tasks and prioritise the most valuable activities and meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m a huge NFL fan. Being from New Zealand, most people assume rugby is my main sporting interest, but the NFL is actually my favourite. I may get some stick for this, but I\u2019m also a big New England Patriots supporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have a nearly two-year-old son called Percy, so the start of my day is usually determined by him rather than my own plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. There\u2019s a lot to learn when joining Yardi and the team has been very generous with their time and knowledge. Many organisations talk about having a supportive culture, but I\u2019ve genuinely found that to be true here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Zealand will always be at the top of the list \u2013 especially spending time back home in Christchurch and Wanaka. In Europe, it\u2019s very hard to beat Italy during the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the inevitable middle-aged weight gain, I can still manage a beach start when waterskiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For NFL content, Heed the Call<\/em> is a favourite. For work-related listening, People Property Place<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m a bit of a golf addict, so as long as there\u2019s at least one round over the weekend, I\u2019m happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Haribo \u2013 which probably explains the persistent weight gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s no substitute for hard work, but it\u2019s important to work smart as well. There\u2019s no value in simply being busy without focusing on what matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Attending multiple President\u2019s Club events at my previous employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A strong team culture comes from people who prioritise the success of the group and the business over individual recognition.
