In late 2015, after relying for years on outside trainers and consultants to conduct employee training in person, Fischer Properties LLC, which owns, develops, and manages large-scale properties across the U.S., sought a more accessible, cost-effective way to execute this crucial operation.
Costs were becoming a major issue for Fischer Properties, as a single large-scale training session could cost tens of thousands of dollars for airfare alone.
A centralized solution for online courses, live training events, and organizational resources that increases employee satisfaction and improves job performance.
Improved Efficiency & Insight
“We tried out eLearning for a few employees. They learned so much that we decided to use it company-wide,” said Jeanne Atkins, CFO for Fischer Properties. Employees completed more than 200 classes on subjects ranging from Yardi products, OSHA requirements, and new-hire orientation within the first few months after implementation.
As an example, Fischer Properties used Yardi eLearning to gain deeper understanding of Yardi Procure to Pay, which scans invoices into electronic transactions and automates the approval process through vendor payment. This has helped Fischer Properties sharply reduce invoice processing time. Other Yardi eLearning sessions help the company improve residential property marketing and resident services with RENTCafé and manage contact and prospect information efficiently with Yardi Commercial LeasingPad.
Fischer Properties plans to expand Yardi eLearning further to streamline its employee rewards and recognition program, enable faster Form 1099 preparation, and complete payroll and timecard obligations, among other business objectives.
